			Every internet and intranet needs Search period.
			Why search?

			Trend analysis shows that Internet users have a preference to search for information, rather than browse for it, when you visit a website for first time. In order to meet these user expectations, it is not enough to set up a search engine, you must also "tune" the relevance and applicability to coincide with the user's expectations and experiences. Search can be used for income generation through presenting pertinent products or internal search to cut costs, by providing the relevant information.

			At Homebase “Customers site” we indexed all movies that can be seen as VOD (Video onDemand). Films have many dimensions which their customers would filter to quickly find the movie they wanted to see. The best way to filter is by using faceted search. In addition they wanted also to give their customers keywords so that they will be interested in watching similar movies. For this we made a tagcloud by genres, actors and directors. Homebase.no

			Anders Holte has been working with search engines for internal systems and e-commerce solutions for 11 years, first with Autonomy, then with FAST and lately also with Open Source technologies. It is important to have a lot of experience from which to set up a search engine.
