Starting point:
Supermercados Peruanos is one of the largest supermarket chains in Peru with more than 7.000 employees. It was earlier owned by the Dutch group Ahold, but is now a part of the Interbank group. Among the brands we find Plaza Vea, Mass and Vivanda. Supermercados Peruanos wanted a new intranet to improve the way of communicating with employees and to distribute important information using internet.

Technology:
The solution is based on Joomla! CMS. Xcode has used standard components and developed/customized them according to the needs of Supermercados Peruanos. Among the information shown in the solution are vacations, birthdays, documents and procedures for HSE, loans granted etc. The system allows users divided into departments to publish content that is approved by a central administrator.

The result:
Supermercados Peruanos now have an intranet that integrates the different departments through common information and that allows all entities to provide information in an easy but controlled way.

Integration with Oracle Financial:
The application is integrated with Oracle Financials that among others provide information related to all employees in the group.
